The long-awaited release of Cyberpunk 2077 version 1.2 patch is now available!

CD Projekt Red, in line with its new business style, has released the 1.2 patch just over a month after its announcement. While patch notes were dropped earlier this week without specifying the exact release date, the patch is now live on PC and consoles. The Stadia version is expected to be released shortly.

Anticipated Changes

The developer has delivered on its promises by implementing all the changes detailed in the patch notes, which include:

  • Update to police spawn range - the NCPD now spawns at a larger range when the player commits a crime.
  • Improved vehicle steering - players can now adjust steering sensitivity in the Controls settings for a more comfortable experience. Additionally, the updated steering script now functions better even with fluctuations in framerate. Steering on consoles has also been significantly improved, with the addition of the "unstuck rocking/rotating feature" for a smoother experience.

Surprisingly, the patch also includes additional improvements beyond what was listed in the patch notes. The game now features:

  • A plethora of bug fixes.
  • Tweaks to NPC behavior - NPCs will now behave more logically on the streets.
  • Fixes for quest progress bugs - players can now complete quests that were previously broken in the game's earlier version.
  • Resolution of holocall freezes - holocalls no longer stick annoyingly on the screen.
  • Correction of the spelling in the "Leaving Night City" sign - it now correctly says "Night City," although some may miss the nostalgia of the previous misspelling.
  • Fix for invincibility bug - players can no longer survive falling from a skyscraper.

And More!

While not all updates are listed here, it is evident that Cyberpunk 2077 has become more logical and less frustrating. If you have been eagerly anticipating improvements to the game's playability, now is the perfect time to dive back in and experience it. Have the most bothersome bugs been fixed for you?
