Ubisoft introduces XDefiant, a new addition to the Tom Clancy's series.

Ubisoft has recently announced the launch of a new first-person, free-to-play shooter set in Tom Clancy’s universe, named XDefiant. The game will be available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PS5. The release date is still pending.

Players can now sign up for the closed beta testing. Registration is open to all on the official Tom Clancy’s games website. The first test is scheduled to start on August 5 for all registered players in North America. To participate, you must own a PC.

What is XDefiant about?

While anticipating Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction in January 2022, fans can explore the world of tactical shooters again. XDefiant promises fast-paced arena combat, inviting players to test the new game and join a faction.

Key Features Not to be Missed

Developers have revealed some features of the game through a 9-minute review. Familiar elements from previous Tom Clancy’s games can be found in XDefiant, with a fresh story to experience. The announced features include:

  • Personalized Defiant character customization, including abilities, factions, ultras, traits, weapons, devices, loadouts, and attachments;

  • A choice of factions to join, such as Cleaners, Outcasts, Echelon, or Wolves, engaging in battles against other factions;

  • 6 vs 6 player competitive clashes in linear or arena modes, with a variety of maps to ensure unique matches.

PC owners have the opportunity to explore these features in the game. Registration deadline is set for August 5.
