Valorant has achieved a monthly player base of 14 million.

VALORANT, a popular PC FPS game, has seen a surge in popularity. As of June 2021, the game boasts a monthly player base of 14 million. This is quite an accomplishment considering the game was only released about a year ago, on June 2, 2020.

Exclusive to PC, VALORANT is a 5v5 tactical shooter with an anime-inspired aesthetic. While it shares similarities with other games like Counter Strike GO and Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, VALORANT stands out for its realistic combat mechanics, accessory support, modest system requirements, and relatively small client size (around 4-5 GB).

The success of VALORANT comes as no surprise, as the game impresses with its team gameplay and stunning visuals. The buzz around the game began during closed beta testing and only grew stronger upon its official release.

Today, VALORANT continues to evolve with regular updates, a seasonal system, free-to-play options with paid cosmetics, events, and three tiers of competition through the VALORANT Champions Tour. To celebrate its first anniversary, Riot Games has launched a month-long event featuring giveaways, new missions, and exclusive content.

In 2021, Riot Games announced the launch of Valorant Mobile. This is not simply a port to other platforms but a completely separate game that does not connect with the PC version. While there is no cross-platform play or progression transfer, the mobile version retains the essence and core gameplay elements of the original, along with impressive visuals. With two versions of VALORANT available, the game presents a formidable challenge to titles like Call of Duty Mobile and other tactical shooters.
